After migrating one of our on-premise customers over to CouncilWise Cloud, the customer was a bit lost as to how to connect Precisely (previously Pitney Bowes) Spectrum Spacial to our API.
They spoke to their GIS provider and they reached out to us, about how they could get access to the data the customer required, and we pointed them in the direction of our open API that would give them all the data they needed.
The next thing we knew, it was done, the customer could now select a property and get instant, live data, from anywhere in the world.
This is the stuff that we love to see! This is real live data and something that many industries have had for some time now, local government, much less so. Using modern APIs, best of breed solutions can become tightly integrated, allowing a client to choose the best solution for each use case. (Ummm - are you relying on your property and rating system to provide you with GIS? Why not get the best possible option for each? We think that makes more sense...)
It's things like this that show us that customers are capable of making steps towards change, instead of doing the same thing they have been doing for years, all the need is the tools, and we're proud to be part of that and the solution ecosystem which is growing in our industry.
